Vintage Wood Rackets from the 1972 Wimbledon Champions by wperry42
Wimbledon 1972 produced two iconic champions Stan Smith and Billie Jean King. Two polar opposite personalities that are exemplified in the design of these two rackets. The Wilson Stan Smith Autograph is thick and sturdy like a club with a battle coat of arms and diamond spikes. The Bancroft Billie Jean King Signature is thin, ultra light, and precise like a surgeons scalpel. This pair is more "vintage" than some of my other collectables, meaning they have a few dings and scratches but they each have a lot of beauty (and playability if you choose) left in them.
